Chloe's Blessing

Chloe was blessed while we were in Utah. It was a beautiful day! Rob gave Chloe a wonderful blessing. What a humble, spiritual experience it was to see Rob give his daughter a blessing. It was his first time giving a blessing. Our family has truley been blessed by having the gospel in our lives!

While in Utah we took the kids skiing. I wanted Cole to learn how to ski on powder snow and what better place for him to learn, than Utah. They say it is the Greatest snow on earth! and compared to the snow in New Jersey it is. We booked him a private one-on-one ski lesson. And also one for my niece.The instructors at Snowbasin were FANTASTIC. The kids had a GREAT time and had a WONDERFUL ski expierence.

Temple Square

It has become a tradition that when we go to Utah for the holidy's we always go to Temple Square. This year was no exception. We got all bundled up and off we went. First we stopped to eat at Crown Burger, then off to see the lights and the Temple. I love the feeling I have when ever we go there. It's always a peaceful, spiritual feeling.

Christmas in Utah and New Jersey

This Christmas was our year to spend it with my family in Utah.It was so wonderful to spend the holidays with them. My family met chloe for the first time. And Cole and Chloe got to see and play with their Aunts, Uncle and cousins!! Cole was afraid Santa wouldn't know that he and Chloe were in Utah, but i assured him that he would. And boy did Santa deliver!! (small items that could we could fit in the luggage)

We got back from our trip out to Utah and Cole was so excited to see what Santa had left him at home. Yes Santa came twice, once in Utah and also at home in New Jersey. Cole got a new Batman Batcave from Santa, and Chloe got a Poppin Dinosaur Toy. Here some of the highlights from Christmas in New Jersey.

This holiday season has been a busy one for our family. We are going to Utah for Christmas this year! We are so excited to see everyone, since it has been awhile since we have visited. So we have had to get our shopping done and wrapped, get our holiday pictures taken, send out christmas cards, make goodies, visit Santa, pack for our trip and much more. During all our hustle and bustle we haven't forgotten the true meaning of Christmas. Every night we read a scripture and a story as well as sing a song from our 25 days of Christmas book. That helps remind us why we celebrate Christmas.

Happy Halloween!!!
This will be a Halloween to remember. Over the weekend, we recieved a huge snow storm. Due to down trees and power lines, our trick or treating fun and school parade was postponed til this coming Friday. Cole was a little disappointed, at least it was only postponed and not cancelled!

Chloe is 4 months old, and has been supporting herself up while on her tummy. so I figured I would take advantage and snap a few shots of her. A friend of mine gave me some pointers on taking the pictures and they came out ADORABLE!! One of my students had the hat made for Chloe and I found this cute pink tutu to go with it. Chloe is such a SWEET, LOVABLE, GIRLIE GIRL!! As well as very photogenic. We love our precious angel!!

A visit to The Turtle Back Zoo & Crayola Factory

In August we were lucky to have my sister Amanda come to New Jersey to visit us. While she was here we went to the Turtle Back Zoo & The Crayola Factory. At the Zoo, we saw lots of different animals. Cole and his cousin Jasmine went on the pony ride. They thought that was pretty cool! Cole even got to feed some birds. Cole's favorite animal to see was the monkey's. I loved seeing the penguins.

I thought it was pretty neat that we were able to go in and feed the birds. I wasn't sure how Cole would react to the birds flying around looking for the food. He did really well and had fun feeding them.

Just Monkeying around!!

The Crayola Factory was fun and exciting. We saw how they made crayons and silly puddy. We got to experience diffrent areas throughout the factory that had to deal with diffrent crayola products. Cole's favorite part seeing the largest crayon ever made. Which happens to be his favorite color BLUE!!

I had to take a picture of this. Here Daddy is giving Cole a lesson on how to wash your clothes by hand. Cole thought it was the funniest thing.

The largest crayon was made on October 11, 2003. It weighs 1,500 pounds. 123,000 blue crayons were gathered from children around the country to make this crayon. Coloring capacity, You could color a straight line for nearly 10 miles or cover an area the size of a football field

Myrtle Beach

In August we went to Myrtle Beach SC. It seems to be becoming a family tradition of ours. We always have fun playing on the beach, in the ocean and swimming in the pool. This year the trip down was one of an adventure because Chloe was only 2 months old. Needless to say she didn't like being in her car seat. We survived the car ride down and back and had a GREAT time. Here are our annual family beach pictures!

Cole had recieved a Sunflower planting kit as a gift. So a couple of weeks ago we decided to plant them. They are growing so big, I think it is time to transplant them into a bigger pot! Cole had a good time planting the flowers.

First he put the moist soil in to the flower box.

Then he carefully placed each seed into the soil.

A week later this is what they looked like!

We also put together a foam pirate ship as a craft project. Mommy had to hot glue the pieces so they would stay. Cole put all the windows, flags and other decorations on the ship. Ahoy Matee!!!

Chloe Elizabeth

We would like to welcome the new addition to our eternal family. Chloe Elizabeth made her debut 2wks early on May 22, 2011. She weighed 7 lbs 1 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long. She is a healthy beautiful baby girl. We are grateful for the blessing she is to our family. Big brother Cole is a great help to Mommy and Daddy. He loves his baby sister. Cole loves to hold, kiss, and sing to her. I am grateful to my heavenly father for the precious children he has blessed me with. I LOVE being a Mom!!

-Because there is so much to do, between preparing for the arrival of our baby girl. -To preparing and getting things done for my class. Not enough time to do it all when you are exhausted everyday.

Excited
-That in 7 weeks we will be welcoming a baby girl into our eternal family. And wondering, Who will she look like? How much will she weigh when she is born? I can't wait to see her and finally have her here.

Joyful
-Of being pregnant and feeling our sweet baby girl moving around.

-Having Cole come over to kiss and talk to his baby sister. He is so excited and can't wait for her arrival!

-Of being a mother to a energetic, sweet, loving little boy, and soon to a beautiful, precious little girl!

Full of Love and Gratitude
-I love my husband for the man he is and the many sacrafices he makes for our family.

What a diffrence a year makes

Last year around this time was a difficult time for our family. Both Rob and I lost our jobs and we lost our unborn baby. We had faith in our Heavenly Father and new that he would bless us during this difficult time. And he did. We both have jobs. We have great family and friends who have been very supportive. We have our church and our faith. We have recieved many more wonderful blessings this past year. We are expecting a baby girl in June. Rob just got a new job offer, with better pay and benefits. As well as the oportunity to advance his skills in the computer industry. Cole is doing great, growing and learning so many new things. He is very excited about his baby sister. He kisses, hugs and talks to my belly daily. We are grateful for the blessings we have recieved. And we know that Heavenly Father blesses us when he sees that the time is right, not when we want the blessings to come.

Cole's Bedtime Prayer

Tonight at bedtime, Cole wanted to say his prayers by himeself. This was his prayer.

Dear Heavenly Father. I"m thankful for my blessings. Please let Mommy and Daddy buy me things. Bless Mommy, Daddy, Cole, Grandma, Grandpa, Nanang, My Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Bless my primary and school teachers to be fun. I pray that I can have a birthday party and learn karate. I want to go to China to see the bad boy (from the karate kid movie). Please let Leo and Cole be safe. (Leo is his stuffed bear he sleeps with). I hope babies will think I'm cute! Amen. It was sooo adorable to hear him say his own prayer.

The Mind of a 3 1/2 yr. Old

It's been awhile since I posted on our blog. But I promise to do better. Cole is a funny, imaginative boy. He always makes me laugh by the things he says. Here are a few of our latest conversations.

I am 7 months pregnant and have been taking Cole to the doctor with me for check-ups, so that he can be a part of the pregnancy. the doctor was trying to listen to the babies heartbeat (our baby girl is a wiggle worm and moves alot).
Cole- Doctor I think you need to put more of that soap on my mommies belly.
Doctor- I think you might be right. Lets try it.
So she put more "soap" gel on my belly and sure enough we heard the babies heartbeat!

On our drive to school we pass a horse farm. It was raining one day when we were driving to school. Here was our conversation:
Mommy- Do you think the horses will be out today?
Cole- Yes
Mommy- But it's raining
Cole- The horses have umbrellas.
Mommy- How can they hold them up? They don't have hands.
Cole-The umbrellas are strapped to their necks.

I couldn't help but laugh! What an imagination. I LOVE You Cole! You make my days brighter!!

Snow Day

We had a fun and exciting Christmas this year! Cole woke up Christmas morning and his jaw dropped when he saw his room. Cole got a bunkbed and Spiderman and Batman room decor. Then he came out to the living room and saw The Ninja Turtles next to his stocking. Needless to say he was soo excited. All he asked Santa for was Ninja Turtles. He was a very happy little boy!!!

Fright Fest at Six Flags

We took Cole to Six Flags the day before Halloween for Fright Fest. He had a Great time. We went on rides, went trick-or-treating, and met some characters. His favorite parts were getting his picture taken with Robin and The Green Lantern, getting his Batman cape, and seeing the Batmobile!! Rob's favorite was having his picture taken with his favorite character Taz!!

Myrtle Beach

So It's been awhile since I posted anything on our blog. Life has been busy and crazy in the Cabatic house. Things are settling down so I finally had time to post. We went on vacation to Myrtle Beach in August with Rob's family. We had a GREAT time, as we always do in Myrtle Beach. We took our annual family photo on the beach as well as some fun pictures.

SOCCER

Cole LOVES all kinds of sports. But lately he has been talking about Soccer. We heard from friends of ours about a "FREE" soccer camp for a week. So we signed Cole up. He loved playing soccer. Cole is only 3 and we all know the attention span of children is not very long. They get distracted easily. Cole did get distrated but coach Ken was there to bring his attention back to what was going on. Cole learned a few things during his week at camp like throwing the ball, kicking the ball, kicking a goal, and blocking a kick. It was a fun camp and I'm glad Cole had fun!!!

We celebrated Cole's 3rd Birthday last weekend. I can't believe that three years has gone by already. Cole is a loving, energetic, rough and tumble kid. Heavenly Father has truly blessed us with this precious gift. We are grateful Cole is a part of our family! Happy Birthday!! We LOVE You!! Here is a list of the things he is interested in.

Cole on the day he was born. He weighed 6lbs and was 18 1/2 inches long

Cole at the age of 3. He now weighs 34 lbs and is 38 inches tall.

The theme for Cole's party this year was Buzz Lightyear. Trying to find just Buzz Lightyear decorations was impossible. However, with Toy Story 3 coming out in June, there were plenty of Toy Story Decorations. So we used them. The games we had were geared more towards Buzz Lightyear. We played target practice using nerf guns,moon rocks in the sand table and moon walk (bouncy house). It was a GREAT party!!

Rainstorm and the Circus

This past weekend we took Cole to the Circus, just our luck we had a huge rainstorm. There was flooding everywhere. We made it to the Circus and had a GREAT time. Cole's favorite part was the motorcycles in the steel ball, and the pirates fighting over the treasure. He loves motorcycles and pirates!

A few weeks ago we had a huge "SNOWSTORM" so for breakfast I made Cole Mickey Mouse pancakes and bacon with strawberries, then we went out to play in the snow. It was a fun day in the snow!!!

Eternal Family

We are now an Eternal family. We were able to go through the Ogden temple and be sealed as a family during the holiday's. We are so happy that my family could be there, but sad that rob's family and our ledgewood ward family were not able to be there. Our family in New Jersey and friends were with us in spirit. Cole looked sooo handsome in his little white outfit and did quite well during the sealing. The day was beautiful and very spiritual for our family.

Snow Fun (Utah)

Christmas in Utah

We spent Christmas and New Years in Utah this year with my family. We had wonderful time and enjoyed spending time with everyone. Here are a few of my favorite things we did on Christmas!!

Making gingerbread cookies for Santa. Cole was upset about not getting to eat his cookie. So santa left him a note along with the cookie on Christmas Eve.

For summer vacation we went to Myrtle Beach SC. Cole had a GREAT time this year. He LOVED swimming in the pool and playing in the waves at the beach. In the ocean Cole would say I go myself. We let him go by himself in the pool only because he had his vest on but no in the ocean.He was so cute!! Everytime it was time to go anywhere else he would cry. He LOVES the water. He tried boogie boarding like his cousins. We went to Ripley's Aquarium and to Ride Makerz (like build-a-bear but for boys, you design your own car). We had a wonderful, fun time on vacation!!

4th of July Festivities

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!! I love going to the parade, seeing the fireworks and spending time with family and friends on the 4th of July!! This year Cole was able to enjoy the parade more and actually go on a few rides at the carnival.

Where are the fire trucks? That was Cole's favorite part of the parade.. Although he wasn't too crazy about the loud noise. He is watching and waiting for them to come.

Our friends the Teeples had a BBQ at their house for the fourth of July. Here is a picture of Cole with his friends. (Ethan, Dallin, Addy and Alivia)

Rob's family also had a BBQ for the 4th of July. Cole had fun playing in the moon bounce with his cousins (Jasmine, Emily, JJ, Jacob and Sean).

We ended the day by watching the fireworks at the college with some friends. Cole was mesmerized by the fireworks.

Swim Class

We decided that we would put Cole in swim class for the summer. This past Saturday was his first class. They practiced floating using noodles and kick boards, jumping into the pool, blowing bubbles, then played with toys. It was a good expeience for Cole. He loved playing in the pool. And screamed when he had to get out, even though the water was cold. He was so upset he insisted on carrying his wet swimming trunks around with him.

Cole is such a big helper. He helped daddy replace the toilet seat. Cole and I had a car wash one day and cleaned his toy car and wagon. I can't believe how much he has grown. His new thing is now is "I Help"! It doesn't matter what we might be doing, He always wants to help. I'm grateful he is so eager to help now. When he's older he may not want to help out anymore.

The Bronx Zoo trip was a day to remember. This was the week it rained alot. We chose the day when the weather was "suppose" to be sunny. Well it ended up raining after we were there for 2 hours. Needless to say we made the best of it. We had a good time despite the rain. We took Cole on the bug carousel.

This tree was in the Gorilla exhibit. I thought it would be cute to have Cole stand in the middle of the tree.

We went with Rob's best friend and his family. We put the boys on the window sill. It looks like Andre is saying to Cole, "Uh-oh There's a Gorilla behind you"!

The Gorilla exhibit is my favorite. This Gorilla decide to stick his tongue out at everyone after someone in the crowd stuck their tongue out at him. It was funny and cute to see.

Cole loved the polar bear. All he kept saying was where's the bear? The polar kept pacing around. We were hoping he would jump in the water and go for a swim.

Turtleback Zoo

This past week our church playgroup went to the zoo. Below are some of the animals we saw. Cole's favorite part was going into the big barn where the pig, cow and horse were. All the kids went on a pony ride. We ate lunch then the kids played on the playground. We had a fun day with all our friends!!

Next we enter Cole's favorite, the "BARN"!! This is the biggest pig I've ever seen.

Cole going for a pony ride. I was afraid he wouldn't go by himself. He proved me wrong. Everyone cheered him on. He is such a big boy.

I loved seeing the bears. Here are some facts. Black bears have a keen sense of hearing. And an excellent sense of smell. They have powerful front paws with 5 toes and claws on each paw. They use their front paws to turn things over and look for food. I wouldn't want to meet one up close.

After seeing the animals and having lunch. We took the kids to the playground. Cole climbed in the tree and pressed his face on the glass to see out. What a cute picture.

The slide was a little steep for Cole to go down by himself. So our friend Dallin took him down. He is such a sweet boy. Parents weren't allowed on the equipment.

Guess What Elmo's thinking about today? Ya-da-da-da Cole's 2nd Birthday!! This past weekend we celebrated Cole's Birthday. It was a great day! We were worried about the weather, it was suppose to rain. Luckily it held off until after the party. Cole had lots of friends over and a Special guest "ELMO". Sorry for all the pictures. I had a hard time choosing which ones to post.

We had face painting at the party. Cole got Elmo on his arm.

We took Cole to see Elmo Live on Valentine's Day. He had so much fun. He was in awe at first and then started dancing, and clapping. Cole's favorite characters are Elmo and Cookie Monster.

Motherhood

I recently read a book by Jane Clayson Johnson titled I Am a Mother. The book reflects on the choice to be a mother and how society views that choice. I love this quote from the book "You matter, because a Mothers work is Gods work." How true that quote is. We have been entrusted with these children by our heavenly father, to guide and teach them. What a special blessing that is. I LOVE being a MOM!! I love watching Cole experience and discover things for the very first time. (i know rob does also). I love seeing his face light up with amazement at the things he discovers. To me there is no greater gift than that of Motherhood.

I also wanted to add a few "Coleisms"

his favorite shape must be a circle, because he loves balls, bubbles and balloons (okay a balloon is not exactly a circle but close enough).

he gives the best hugs and kisses

he loves "mo-mo" (elmo) and "cookie" (cookie monster).

he also loves cars and trucks

he says "moe peas" when he wants more of something.

he says night, night when its bed time.

when he gets a boo-boo he needs you to kiss it right away.

Motorcycle Show NYC & Disney on Ice

We have had a busy couple of weekends. First we took Cole in NYC to see the motorcycle show. He went on his first ferry ride. Then the following weekend we took him to see Disney on ice. Here are a few of the pictures from the two events.

We have been busy this month, between birthday parties and holiday parties, holiday shopping and decorating the house. Although we are busy we still need to take time to remember why we celebrate christmas. Because of Jesus Christ our Saviour. I wanted to add some pictures of some of the fun we have had this month. We took cole to see Sant a at the mall this past weekend. He was a little scared this year. I had to sit with him and Santa. At least there weren't any tears!!

We decided to be daring and put Cole up on the post to take a picture with the tree.

This month our church playgroup went to see a gingerbread display. There were some amazing looking gingerbread houses. Here are a few pictures of the one's I liked. Cole was much more interested in trying to eat the candy off the houses, than seeing them.

We have had a busy couple of weekends. So there are lots of pictures in this post. Cole had a special day with Daddy while I was in Philidelphia for Time Out for Women. They went pumpkin picking in Grandmas yard and went to the firestation to see the fire trucks. We also took Cole to Six Flags. We went to the safari and then on the rides. Our church playgroup had a Halloween Party. The kids wore their costumes, played games and ate goodies.

Cole and I made sugar cookie lollipops for the party. Cole was a big helper, he handed me the sticks when I needed them. He was also the taste tester. As you can see the cookies were YUMMY!!!

Playgroup Pumpkin Picking Trip

We went Pumpkin Picking at the farm with our friends from church this past week. Cole had alot of fun as you can tell from the pictures below. However, he was more interested in the weeds and grass than he was with the pumpkin's. There were also animals (ducks, a horse and cow, goats, bunnies) to feed as well.

Looks like he is going to get the pumpkin but he really wants the tall piece of grass thats there. Sitting in the pumpkin patch with all the pumpkin's.

Light the Night Walk

This past saturday we we particiapted in a walk along with some of our family and friends for Leukemia and Lymphoma. the walk takes place at night so the balloons are lit. Red balloons are for supporters, White balloons are for survivors and gold are for someone who has lost the battle with cancer. This walk is very near and dear to me because last year I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Thank you to those who were able to walk with us and for those who also donated money to a wonderful cause.

I decided that I would start doing some craft projects Cole. The projects are centered around a theme. The month of September we did apple projects. Cole and Daddy did apple prints using finger paints. Cole and Mommy made an apple tree. More craft projects to come!!!

We have been busy the last couple of weekends. This past weekend we took Cole to a YANKEE game. We wanted him to go to the original yankee stadium before they closed it. Cole had a good time and we got lots of pics of him at the stadium. Unfortunetly the Yankee's lost the game.

Family Vacation to Myrtle Beach

We took a family vacation to myrtle beach the last week in August. We had a fun time especially Cole. He loved playing in the sand and ocean. He also loved visiting the aquarium and the Le Grand Cirque show. Cole mad a few friends on the beach and had a fun time with them during the week. On our second tolast day we saw 2 baby sharks in the water. Luckily we were on the beach when they appeared. Sorry for all the pictures. It was hard to narrow it down to just a few!!!

The Circus
We took cole to the circus for the first time. I enjoyed watching the excitement and awe on coles face There is nothing more precious than watching your child enjoying something. Trip to Utah
We took a trip last week to Utah for my brother's wedding. What a beautiful day it was at the bountiful temple for Kenny and his new wife Natalie. Welcome to the family!!! Happy 4th July
Happy 4th of July to everyone!!! This year Cole was old enough to enjoy the parade and fireworks. Below are some pictures of Randolph's 4th of July Celebration. We hope you enjoy them.

We ended up having to put up an easy-up-tent because it started to rain. After we put it up of course it stopped raining. LOL Cole really enjoyed watching the parade
We had really good seats for the fireworks. Cole was so amazed. He kept saying OHH and AHH at the colorful fireworks. We took a little tent with us in case he fell asleep. Luckily he fell asleep when the fireworks were over.

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY COLE!!!!!
I can't believe that a year has gone by already. Our little boy is growing up so fast. Cole just celebrated his 1st Birthday!!!!! Here are a few pictures from his party. Of course it was a sports party for our little allstar. In this photo cole is taking pictures of his friends with his new elmo camera. "Say CHEESE"

Build-a-Bear
We took Cole to build-a-bear to make his first teddy bear. This was an early birthday gift. He wasn't quite sure what to make of it at first. But he had fun helping to stuff the bear by pushing on the pedal. Then Cole helped Mommy dress the bear. We named the bear BARKLEY!! Cole loves it when we push the bears paw, the bear giggles and so does Cole.

Branch Brook Park

Bubble Machine
Cole loves bubbles. He gets excited every time we blow them. He was first introduced to bubbles at the library we go to for story time. We bought Cole a cute bubble machine that blows out bubbles when you pull the handle. Here are a few pictures of Cole playing with his bubble machine. Cole helping daddy pull the handle.

This is my favorite. Right as I was taking the picture, the bubble landed on Cole's nose. How cute!!!!
